Our Employment Advisers will provide advice, information and support to local people looking for opportunities for training and employment.
Our Employment Advisers have knowledge of local opportunities and have excellent links to employers and other organisations such as colleges and training providers.
What we can offer:
- Free services
- One to one support from a personal employment adviser
- Help in determining goals for the future, exploring options for improving skills
- Help to source training including vocational training
- Access to classes to improve literacy and numeracy skills
- Drafting and updating CVs
- Help with jobsearch techniques and where to access vacancies
- Help with application forms
- Interview techniques and mock interviews
- Better Off calculations to check how much better off you will be in work
- Accessing childcare
- In work benefit applications e.g. tax credits
- Support in the early days of your new job
