Strategic and Tactical Financial Management
Information:
All businesses need to manage strategies. Some because they
are developing from a position of strength and others because
they need to overcome significant problems. The course will
focus on the importance of developing a robust financial
management information system. Such a system must be greater
than the cost of operating it because if the information
is not relevant to some need, it has no value.
Aim:
To deliver effective financial management skills to enable
owner/managers to formulate ‘Financial Plans’
for the development of their business.
Content:
Course content includes
- Strategic and tactical financial planning.
- Financial control.
- Producing and understanding management accounts.
- Using management accounts in the decision making process.
- There will be an opportunity during each session to
raise any specific queries and to develop an action plan.
Objectives::
The key objectives are a skills transfer and an improvement
of financial orientation to enable you to:

Understand and use Profit & Loss Account and Balance
Sheet

Create and understand the need for a Cash Flow statement

Understand work in progress and its significance within
the financial operating cycle

Understand how profits can be improved and the use of
break-even analysis

Rank customers and products by profit contribution

Manage the finance of the business through difficult times
