Information:
Managing people can be a very daunting task for even the
most experienced of staff. The idea of dealing with numerous
different individuals in your department or management structure
creates for people ongoing problems. As a manager you have
to deal with all different types of people, their emotions
and actions, and to try and find a successful path that
covers all situations.
Aim:
To introduce to appropriate staff key principals and methods
involved in managing people at all levels.
Content:
Leadership skills
Recognising and developing required qualities, acquiring
personal authority and skills, leadership styles and methods.
Coaching and Mentoring
Choosing styles to suit, understanding the roles and principals,
developing such skills, measuring competence.
Motivating
Principals and methods of motivation, understanding different
approaches, financial and non- financial.
Teamwork
Methods and ideas to promote teamwork, breakdown of teams,
principals and theories.
Who will benefit:
Any member of staff involved in management at any level
